Refunds, returns and exchanges
We understand
Sometimes things go wrong
If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact us at info@geminicanvas.com in the first instance to organise returns – we want happy customers and will work with you to resolve any difficulties. If we have made an error we will put it right, with apologies.
Please note:
Due to the high number of unannounced returns, including some
many months after delivery, all returns are now subject to a
minimum $15 or 15% restocking fee, whichever is greater.

Prevention is the best cure. If you are unsure about which product is best for your job, please contact us before you purchase for expert advice and help to ensure that your initial purchase is the correct one for you and your boat. We are here to help.
Returns
Please initiate all returns or exchange requests in good time.
We reserve the right to refuse any refund or exchange for items received by us
thirty (30) days or more after original delivery to you.
Please contact us before returning any items to discuss the difficulty and ensure that any return or exchange is smooth and successful. At that point, we will ask you to send all items you wish to return/exchange to:

A high number of customers are over-ordering and/or not checking sizes before ordering, and this is increasing. Because processing returns and refunds takes us time that we cannot spend serving others, we have had to initiate a restocking fee for returns (including exchanges) as outlined below.
If we make a mistake, we will but it right.
In all other circumstances, to be eligible for a return item/s must be:
- Unused
- In original condition (eg, no missing parts)
- Returned to us at your expense
- Received by us within thirty (30) days of delivery to you
Where we are not at fault we will charge a minimum restocking fee of $15 (or 15% of value of returned items, whichever is greater) for all returns within our 30-day return window.
Orders returned to us beyond our 30-day return window will be subject to a minimum $20 restocking fee (or 20% of value of returned items, whichever is greater).
Special order items (including tubing we cut to measure) are NOT returnable or refundable.
Refunds
We will process any full or partial refund due to you (minus any restocking charge) within seven (7) business days of receiving the returned item/s, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment (eg credit card) where this is possible (eg, credit card security limits the length of time in which we are permitted to process a refund). Where a direct refund to the original method of payment is not possible, we will issue a cheque and you will have to provide us with a postal address to which we can send it.
If you haven’t received an agreed card refund, please contact your bank or credit card company (depending on how you originally paid for the items). It may take some time before your refund is officially posted by these institutions, and this is entirely outside of our control.
If you feel you have not received your card refund as expected, please contact us at john@geminicanvas.com so that we can provide you with details of the refund to use in your future discussions with your bank or credit card company. We cannot enter into conversations with your bank or credit card company for you.
Exchanges
We are always willing to exchange an item if you have ordered the incorrect size.
To be eligible for exchange item/s must be:
- Unused
- In original condition (eg, no missing parts)
- Returned to us at your expense
- Received by us within thirty (30) days of delivery to you
We will notify you of any difference in costs between the size you originally purchased and the new size you would like, and we will charge/refund any difference to you (bearing in mind that you will pay for shipping the new item to you – see below – and your restocking fee).
Return/refund/exchange shipping
Shipping costs are not refundable.
We will not pay shipping for items you wish to return or exchange where we are not at fault.
You will pay for us to ship any replacement items in the case of exchanges, and this may well overtake any credit due to you (eg, due to differences in price in the case of exchanges).
**Please initiate all return or exchange requests in good time – shipping takes time,
and we reserve the right to refuse any refund or exchange for items received by us
thirty (30) days or more after original delivery to you.**
Please consider shipping all items for returns or exchanges via a carrier who provides you with a tracking number and insurance. We are not responsible for any items you ship to us.
